Just Breathe

So I just looked at our wedding to do's and saw the number 99!!!!!
99 days to go! Right, it is getting closer and closer and closer. I start to think about all the stuff we still have to do and freaking out just a little. Trying to focus on what I can to avoid reality of things needing to be done all as soon as possible. Why, you still have plenty of time one might think, right? No, not when you are me with this obsessive compulsive disorder that haunts me. What if you leave something until the last minute and then you can't have it or get it the way it needs to be............. Again just breathe...........................
I am okay, really, just wondering to myself how much stuff I can cram into the weekends. Mental picture of the wheels in my head turning right here! :-)
This weekend should knock out some things but still thinking I need to do more.......

I don't know how people do this at the last minute at all.
I would be a total wreck people would have to control me from be a total bridezilla.

It's a new year now!

Well it has been a little while since my last post, wow!
Anyways been really busy as usual story of my life...................
Now that the holidays are over I can go back to normal craziness as opposed to holiday craziness. I have already taken down my tree in fact it was down the first of January because you know I am obsessive compulsive so it had to happen.
Have managed to actually get many things accomplished with the wedding stuff. We worked on the programs some more and I feel like we are getting close with that. We have managed to get almost everyone and their mom's address to start addressing invitations which have to be sent out next month. I almost have Tony's ring it should be here any moment now. My band should arrive at the beginning of February. Thanks to Trish we have the money bags I was trying to figure out.
We went to see about renting the swords for Tony's friends to hold when we first walk in. It was not too bad however the location I could have done without.
We are going next weekend to find the brides maids jewelry and my tiara. So that should be fun times!!!!
I can't believe we are getting so close to time seems like just the other day I had all this time to do everything.

Another one bites the dust!

So we officially decided what we are doing about the alcohol situation for the wedding.
We have decided to do two hours open bar and then from there on out people have to pay for anything else that they want. We will be giving each table a bottle of champagne as well. This is just the best we could do on our fixed budget and still letting people drink without having to pay too much.
I hope that it doesn't kill the party but it is what is going to happen unless I win the lottery and considering I don't play doubtful really.
The other thing that we took care of was the attendants gifts and the parents gifts.
So those things are out of the way now and I can move on to others.
There is still a list that seems the size of China but we are getting there some how.
We have Christmas soon and then I am afraid time might fly like nothing else.
So here is hoping I can keep my sanity over the next four months.

It's raining it's pouring......

Ok, so I think that if it freezes we are all totally you know what!!!!
Yeah, it wasn't too bad this morning there was some ice on the trees and other places that don't get much traffic but now I don't know. It has been raining hard all day long and this could cause many problems once it gets dark and or colder.
I will say this although I don't enjoy this weather at all mind you the trees with the ice hanging off of them look a little cool...... When I get home I will take a picture of the tree in our back yard it looks cool.
I have a crazy weekend ahead of me and it will probably fly by and make me feel like we didn't even have the weekend. Love it when that happens, right?
I have exams on Thursday and then have to take Tony to get his wisdom teeth removed. Ouch, glad it is not me for sure!!!!!
Friday night is friend's birthday celebration.
Work on Saturday part of the day then are having dinner guests later.
Sunday we have a graduation party to go to and if we get done with that at a decent time we have free tickets to a comedy show.......
And that is all folks.

It is snowing and I don't like it at all!!!!!

Cats and Christmas Trees!!

We put up our Christmas tree about a two weeks ago. It is nice and all pretty and ready to have some presents under it. So naturally it is our kittens first Christmas so she has not experienced the tree as of yet! Well of course she thinks that it was put there just for her to play with. Cause why else would you put something that has fun hanging things and lots of branches for her to pull on???
Right, I hate her right now just so that is clear! She has been messing with it every day and I can't get her to stay away from it.
I hate it because I beat her every time I catch her doing it but when I don't and I just come home to it, I feel bad for punishing her cause I didn't actually witness the act. It could also be our other cat but he is not as bad as she is so I just assume most of the time it is her...........
Am I a bad mom for wanting to kick her out onto the street? :-)
I just want her to play with her million toys we have for her, is that so much to ask? Must she destroy everything nice we have? Because she sure is trying the Christmas tree is just one of the many things.
I think that I have the devils cat. She doesn't listen either not like our other good kitty who is so precious.
I am starting to think I like dogs more then cats.....................
Ok, maybe not cause cats still pee in a box and I am a big fan of them going to the bathroom by themselves. For the love of Pete please stop messing with the Christmas tree!!!

More stuff here!

Well we now have the guinea fowl feathers. I know some of you are probably thinking what the hell are those? Right, well in South Africa they are a very common bird so we are using part of that in our decorations.
Here is picture so you can have an idea of what I am talking about.



I know what you are thinking, that poor bird is not that much to look at and really he isn't. However his feathers are really cool and that is what we are using so there you have it.
Any questions? :-)

Anyways back to my point we have some dear friends who have volunteered to give us their feathers and we just got a couple bags today. It is very interesting to me the different stuff that will go into making this big day happen!
Once we get them all cleaned up I will take a photo of the actual feather's themselves and show everyone. I really like the look of them because they are like a black and white polka dot if you can envision that at all.

We have been working on the programs and although they are a lot of work they are coming along nicely I would say......
We probably are as far as we are going to get for now with it being the holiday weekend and all. :-)
Anyways I really am glad that the invitations made it in one piece and we didn't crazy mess something up.

Plans for the rest of the turkey week are a little crazy!!!
So I am thinking won't have much time to do anything but what we have on our books as it is right now.

I am however glad that we are not having it at our house this year. I just don't have the effort in me for that this year. I am making some things to go with us to other places so I will still be cooking just not as much.

Invitations ordered and on the way even!

Well we did it! And by we I am talking about Sheila and I cause you know we are awesome! We ordered the invitations and it only took us like two hours to get completed. In our defense we had to pick a photo to put on it, so we had to look at like a million ones before we picked one. It is big stuff you know like two hundred people will be looking at these invitations so we had to make sure it was done right. It was interesting to say the least, I wouldn't say fun necessarily but we had fun hanging out at least!
Anyways according to an email I just got they are on their way to Sheila's house right now so we'll see how it turns out. I am sure they will be fine, we checked it enough times I feel like, right?? :-)

Our next task is the programs which if I might say I am not looking forward to it. Not that I don't want to do it, I just think that it is going to be a handful of things that I don't want to think about that we have to put into the programs. Oh well we have to do it and we are going to be all sitting down and talking about it this Saturday.

I also went for my dress fitting so that they could make it shorter so I don't trip and fall on my face. I think that we are having to take off like two inches but you know whatever!!!

Wedding Stuff......

So I am looking for one of those bags that you use for like the dollar dance at your reception??? I don't want to pay an arm and leg for it really because well you only use it that one time. However at the same time I don't just want to use something else either. So looking at some of the options, I have encountered some really ugly ones in fact not only are they ugly but they are expensive. I just want something plain and simple that doesn't cost a lot of money!!! Is that too much to ask for really??
Most of them just have too much crap on them and by crap I mean frill, ya you know what I am talking about. I am not having a baby girl, I am getting married there is no need for excessive frill. Anyways I don't know what else to say about these bags really but you get the point.
So am still looking around, Sheila found my one that is simple and not very expensive but is not an actual bridal bag or whatever, which I don't care but just want to see if there is anything else out there......
So here we go again, I am off to surf the web.

Hello

Alright well it has been a really busy last week or so.
We had Tom & Sheila's benefit and that all turned out great. There were lots of people and plenty of live music and beer and food.
So I think that on a whole everyone had a really good time!!!!
Let's see there was also Halloween and all those parties that go with it, good times.
Anyways needless to say it has been a crazy week and there is only more craziness to come.
We have the holidays coming up and mixed in with a little planning of the wedding it shall be interesting.
We are having some thing shipped from South Africa for the decorations so I am really excited about that specific peace that will be involved. It is really important to me to have a bit of home in this.

I have a meeting with the event co-coordinator for my rehearsal venue on November 13th and then taking my dress to my lady who is going to make it shorter for me.
I have Tony's birthday coming up and looks like we are just getting a big group together and going to Dave & Buster's. I think that will be fun for everyone.

So I am taking a programming class online. I know right what was I thinking? Well I just didn't want to take Spanish online and I thought this would be a little easier. One, this is what I get for thinking that I guess. And two it is not at all!!! So now I am stuck trying to figure out this whole java scripting thing. Let's just hope I make it out alive of this one. :-(

I had to download a crap load of stuff just to be able to do my practice work so who knows what is next. One thing is for sure it will never be a dull moment, I guess that is a positive thing? (I am trying here real hard)

Anyways to anyone who does programming for a living, here is to you cause you must be really smart and able to pay attention to detail.....
Cause I sure as heck couldn't do it all the way, I am just praying to pass this class and you know another one because I have to do two of them, yes that is right.
So like I said kill me please.......

GULP! A FUNNY FEELING IN MY TUMMY!

If you look at the bottom of my page for my blog you can see exactly how many days we have until our wedding. Now this tool was fun at first but now it is almost starting to haunt me.......
I am freaking out a little bit that we have less then 6 months to get everything all together. So I start to think to myself don't freak out to much what do we have figured out that if nothing else goes right we will have this stuff.
Well we have the good figured out so no one will go hungry, well unless of course my parents don't pay for it when it comes time, ew scary moving on.
I have my dress and I have paid for that so for sure that is going to be fine. :-)
We have our venues so there will be place for people to go to!
We have our photographer so there will be pictures taken of whatever is happening.
We have someone to marry us so right away we are doing good there.
Okay so we have the basics right so I shouldn't be freaking out but I am! I know I need to calm it down and come down a couple notches.
So I just need to take one thing and a time and remember to relax, right? Right!
Now if I can actually let myself do that I will let you know. :-)
