I had no idea that faucets were so costly???

So for the new house we need a new faucet in the bath tub. So I was looking online of course to see what the options were and they have a lot of options. But man these can really get expensive for something that I would see once a day and that some people may never see. Maybe I just don't know any better but they are just something that pours water out of them do we really need something that costs $300? I don't think so personally but that is just my opinion. I would like to get a faucet for let's say $35, yeah that sounds good to me.
